Get Networked in Oregon

There's a very complete directory of resources for entrepreneurs in Oregon at OregonStartups.com.  Walking through the OregonStartups.com mind map, here are some things to check out to get networked:

  • Entrepreneur Groups: these are great places to meet other entrepreneurs, not to mention investors and mentors.

  • Incubators/Accelerators and Office Space: There are real advantages to finding a place where you can work next to other entrepreneurs and coaches. Some offer boot camps, mentors, workshops, and more.

  • Funding: Venture Capital, Micro loans, Angel Groups, Angel Conferences, Seed Funds, and Grant sources - you'll find links to them all.  But read our "Realistic Funding Plan" section first!

  • Sector Specific Groups: Social cause, CleanTech/Sustainability, Food, Film, Apparel, Biotech, Transportation, and more.

  • Websites/Blogs: There are some great starter-links to get plugged in to entrepreneurship in Oregon

  • Universities: many of the schools in Oregon have entrepreneurship programs

  • Events: Lots to check out here for networking opportunities.  Especially recommended: OEN PubTalks™ and Startup Weekend.

  • Government: There are Federal, State, and local resources to check out.

That's a start.  Check out all the details and links at OregonStartups.com
