About Copyrights

Generally speaking – in the U.S., anything you create is copyrighted automatically – but you’ll need to register that copyright if you want to sue for damages.

And in general, a copyright only protects one specific representation of the thing you create.

And without a contract saying otherwise, a copyright may well be owned by the author – not by the company.

Our advice: talk to an attorney about your copyright strategy!
